My goal in every session is to capture personalities and relationships in an emotional and story-telling way.  Somewhat unique from other photographers, I shoot primarily on location…in your own home or a favorite outdoor setting.  I do not have a studio because I prefer natural light over artificial light.  My photo shoots are fun, laid back and unrushed.  Your family and I may take a walk around a lake or sit in a field.  I may take the bride and groom away from the crowd for a few intimate moments together.  These are the moments I capture with my camera… being yourself, laughing, having a good time.  The best pictures result from everyone relaxing and being themselves. I tend to have a more photojournalistic approach to photography, one that you might describe as “out of the box.”  I use both traditional and classic styles as well.  A little bit of touching up is sometimes necessary but I do as little as possible.  I want my clients to see images as they remember them.

About the Artist

I am a professional photographer in Hendersonville, North Carolina, specializing in babies, children and families. I have always had a strong interest in photography even as a child. I started by taking pictures of friends and their families as well as a few family weddings. I also continued to take photography classes at a local college. One thing led to another and I finally had to open shop! It’s the perfect business to have and be able to be with my family. Not to mention I absolutely love it! I am also a Registered Nurse and currently a stay- at- home mother to three young children.
